Draft for review · Not yet effective
This draft explains how ComicFire handles information when you visit our website or use our application. The proposed diagnostic retention limit below is not yet in operation.
1. Who we are
ComicFire is operated by Skewed Ventures Private Limited, a company incorporated in Karnataka, India (CIN: U74999KA2017PTC102832).
Our registered office is at #175 and #176, Dollars Colony, Phase 4, JP Nagar, Bannerghatta Main Road, Bengaluru 560076, Karnataka, India.
ComicFire helps adult business users create illustrated stories for their brands. We determine how account information and service diagnostics are processed to operate ComicFire. Where we process personal information within content on a business customer's behalf, our role depends on that processing and the applicable arrangements with that customer.
2. Information we collect
- Account and profile information: your email address, display name, account identifiers and optional profile photo. Microsoft Entra External ID handles sign-in credentials and email verification.
- Creative content: brand information, logos, reference images, prompts, ideas, scripts, mascots, comics, generated assets and retained versions that you submit or create.
- Service information: usage and generation records, technical request information, browser and device information, errors and performance diagnostics. Hosting and authentication providers may also process IP addresses and security logs.
- Communications: information you send when contacting us, including support and privacy requests.
Content you upload may contain information about other people. Only submit information you are entitled to use, and avoid unnecessary sensitive personal information.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide the service, authenticate users, save and generate content, deliver downloads, manage usage allowances, respond to requests, protect accounts and investigate technical failures.
We also use restricted diagnostic evidence for troubleshooting, quality evaluation and engineering improvements. ComicFire does not use your content to train or fine-tune models or reuse it publicly without separate authorization.
Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on performing our agreement with you for the requested service, legitimate interests in securing and maintaining the service where those interests do not override your rights, legal obligations, or consent where required. You may withdraw consent for processing based on consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
4. Service providers and disclosures
We do not sell your personal information or share it with third parties for their marketing or advertising purposes. Operating the service does require processing by service providers:
- Microsoft: Azure hosting, storage and operational diagnostics, and Entra External ID authentication. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
- OpenAI: AI processing of the relevant text and images needed for your generation requests. OpenAI's API data controls describe its handling of API inputs, outputs and safety-related retention. See OpenAI API data controls.
Provider retention can differ from ComicFire's retention. We do not promise zero retention by providers. We may also disclose information when legally required or when necessary to protect the service, users or others, subject to applicable law.
5. Your content and diagnostic evidence
You retain your rights in the content you submit. Keeping a diagnostic copy does not transfer those rights to us. This policy does not guarantee that AI-generated material qualifies for copyright protection.
When generation fails, we may retain private diagnostic evidence, sometimes called quarantine records. This can include prompts, brand context, reference images, generated or rejected images, partial outputs, provider responses and technical failure details. These records help us understand and resolve failures.
Access is limited to diagnostic and service-improvement purposes. Diagnostic records are separate from your saved creative workspace and are not included in ordinary workspace downloads. Removing saved content does not necessarily remove related diagnostic evidence. You can contact us about personal information in these records and exercise applicable privacy rights.
6. How long we retain information
We retain saved workspace content to provide the service until it is removed, and account and support information for as long as needed for the relevant service, request or applicable legal obligation. Contact us to request account closure or deletion of personal information.
Hosted workspace export packages are available for seven days after completion. Copies you download remain under your control.
Proposed diagnostic retention limit: a maximum of one year from capture for runtime diagnostic records, including quarantined generation evidence; shorter retention periods may apply to other logs. This limit is not yet enforced. Quarantined evidence currently has no automatic expiry and may be retained longer. We will update this draft before presenting the one-year limit as an effective commitment.
Retention by service providers follows the applicable service arrangements. Legal obligations or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims may require specific information to be retained longer.
7. Cookies and browser storage
Authentication and application features use cookies or browser storage to maintain sign-in state and support the service. Operational telemetry may use identifiers to understand sessions, performance and errors. Microsoft-hosted sign-in pages have their own cookie practices.
You can manage cookies and site storage through your browser. Blocking or clearing them may interrupt sign-in or other features. This policy page does not add advertising trackers or a new analytics service.
8. International processing
We operate from India, and our service providers may process information in other countries. Their privacy and data-control information is linked above. Applicable data protection requirements depend on your location and the processing involved.
This draft does not certify a particular data-residency arrangement or international-transfer safeguard. Those arrangements must be confirmed before this policy is finalized for our intended EU and Americas launch.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a portable copy of personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a relevant data protection authority. Rights and exceptions vary by jurisdiction.
Send requests to privacy@comicfire.com. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity and clarify the request. We will assess requests, including those involving diagnostic records, under applicable law and respond within the applicable time limits.
A workspace download is a copy of supported saved creative content and profile information; it is not a complete response to a personal-data access request.
10. Security
We use access controls and technical measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss and misuse. No service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your sign-in credentials and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
11. Children
ComicFire is intended for business users aged 18 or older. It is not directed at children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
12. Changes to this policy
We will publish policy updates here with an effective date. For material changes, we will provide appropriate notice before the changes take effect where required. This version remains a draft and has no effective date.
